Helpdesk Services at The Media Center Computer Lab

During the hours of 7 am – 7 pm, Monday – Thursday 7 am - 5 pm Friday and 8 am - Noon Saturday, helpdesk personnel are located at the front desk of the Media Center Computer Lab. Students and faculty may drop off their laptops to this helpdesk for service. This desk at the Media Center Lab serves as the initial point of contact for all calls related to desktop and laptop support as well as calls related to audiovisual classroom support. After daytime work hours, there is a 24X7 Helpdesk Service that the UIW community can call to report problems and to seek assistance.

The Media Center Computer Lab

Located on the ground floor, south side, of the J.E. & L.E. Mabee Library is open seven days a week. The lab offers students and faculty access to PCs, MACs, productivity, graphic and discipline specific software. Black and white, color and large format printing services are also available. Media Center Lab Software

All computers in this lab have the standard MS Office Suite and the Adobe Creative Suite load. Depending upon licensing, some software is installed on a limited number of machines. Check this lab map to determine which machines have certain software installed: (Link to map).

Media Center Printing Services and Scanning

The Media Center offers an Express Printing Station for students who need to print on the go. In addition, there is a flatbed scanning station for patrons to use.
