IT Welcomes Two New Employees

Changed roles adapt to emerging demands

By Neil Schroeder

The Innovation and Technology team had two open positions after prior employees moved to roles outside of UIW. Rather than just filling existing position descriptions, each was updated to fit the future of IT better work demands at the University. The positions and hires are:

Web Developer - Madelyn "Maggie" Oliveros

Maggie brings cutting-edge web development skills to a role transitioning from essential content management to proactive development to provide our students and employees easy access to information and capabilities through our new web and mobile infrastructure. She has work experience at several local Catholic organizations, including a year as a Saint Anthony Catholic High School media specialist.

Process Improvement and Automation Architect - Phillip Torres

Phillip, an Air Force Veteran, has an extensive background in robotic process automation (RPA), business process analysis, customer requirements development, and more across many roles during his Air Force career. He will be filling a position that has transformed into the leader for upcoming process automation work across all functional offices at UIW.

We are excited to bring Maggie and Phillip to our team, and I know everyone in the community will extend a hearty UIW welcome as you meet them in the coming weeks and months.
