On behalf of our police officers and professional staff team members, I want to personally welcome you to our department’s website. The University of the Incarnate Word Police Department (UIWPD) is one of 2,700 law enforcement agencies across the State of Texas.
The University of the Incarnate Word is the largest Catholic Division 1 University in the State of Texas. As protectors of the Nest, UIWPD serves a population of nearly 6,000 students, faculty, and staff on a 200-acre campus. UIWPD also serves St. Anthony Catholic High School as part of the UIW Brainpower Connection.
UIWPD’s goal is to provide exemplary service to our community members and visitors. Our public safety team is here to serve you with excellence and cultivate positive relationships. Relational policing is at the core of everything we do and we offer various engagement initiatives to connect with the community we serve. We look forward to partnering with you to achieve our public safety goals of being a community that is safe, free from fear of crime, and one that upholds the constitutional rights of all people.
