Verify/Update RAVE Emergency Notification
The University has recently revised the Rave Alert emergency notification system to improve accuracy and coverage. This process involved revising data in the Rave Alert system.
We are encouraging all active faculty and staff of the University and high schools and all students of the University to review the mobile phone and email emergency contact information that we have in Rave Alert.
Please go to the University’s main webpage and log into myWord.
Click on the Rave Alert icon in the upper left of the screen. On this screen you can confirm/test, delete, add cell phone numbers and email addresses. If you need assistance please contact the Help Desk at 829-2721 or helpdesk@uiwtx.edu.
This is an opt-out system. This means if we have your contact information in Rave and you do not want to receive emergency messages you must delete your Rave account information in order to not to be contacted. You can do this by accessing your record in Rave. Click on Edit. Click on Delete Account.
Affiliated groups and vendors, including the Congregation, Retirement Village, Headwaters, Women’s Global Connection, Sodexo, ARAMARK and Follett will be asked to provide lists of contacts to be loaded into the Rave Alert system.
