University Worship Schedule

Red Dress Health Fair & Fashion Show 2016
Join us for the 2016 Red Dress Health Fair & Fashion Show from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2 in the McCombs Center Rosenberg Sky Room in support of the American Heart Association's Go Red campaign. This annual event brings awareness to female cardiac health and features one-of-a-kind dress designs by UIW fashion students. This year’s event will exhibit over 20 health and lifestyle vendors. Students from UIW’s professional programs will be on hand to check blood pressures, glucose levels, provide visions screenings and offer information on the importance of maintaining a heart healthy lifestyle. Islam's Understanding of Jesus
The Department of Religious Studies presents “Islam’s Understanding of Jesus,” lecture from 6:15 – 8:15 p.m., Monday, Feb. 1 in the McCombs Center Rosenberg Sky Room. Internationally respected scholar Dr. Zeki Saritoprak, professor of Islamic Studies at John Carroll University, will explore ideas of Jesus in Islam. Dr. Saritoprak will examine the place of Jesus in the Qur'an and Hadith and discuss the important role Jesus can play in interfaith dialogue. Dr. Saritoprak's recent book Islam's Jesus (University of Florida Press) will be available. A suggested $10 donation will be appreciated for admittance to this lecture. The “Sisters’ Stories, A Living Legacy” Exhibit
This exhibit can be seen in the Mabee Library Reference Room. Learn of the Sisters through the eyes of eight UIW students who have done research in the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word Archives on beginnings in the US, Mexico, Peru, Zambia; Sisters disguising themselves during the Mexican Revolution; the changes of Vatican II; prayer life, Mother Angelique in Lyon, Sr. Maria Goretti Zehr, poets Sr. Rita Prendergast and Sr. Alice Holden, and more. Blackboard Walk-Ins

Renewal Film Screening
The Headwaters Coalition invites you to come and enjoy a free screening of Renewal at 11:45 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2 in the Mabee Library Special Collections Room. The many Americans who are answering a spiritual call to confront the enormous challenges of environmental degradation inspire this documentary.
