Military Appreciation Game
The UIW Military Appreciation Game is set for 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 5, in Benson Stadium. UIW's Cardinal Latina Mentoring Program, conducted by the Ettling Center for Civic Leadership, was invited to attend the Latinas in the U.S. Summit hosted on Oct. 21 at the White House. University representatives participated in numerous sessions and discussions regarding the future development and expansion of Latina leadership in local, state and national levels. The event was sponsored by the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics. The Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR) hosted its annual international cultural competition Mission Life: One Health. Students competed to develop innovative designs, ideas, tools, resources and/or services that address the search for well-being of humans, animals and the environment under the One Health perspective, which includes detecting problems and providing solutions. Dr. Marcos Oliveira, professor of pharmaceutical sciences and coordinator for pharmacy Latin American activities, and Dr. Arcelia Johnson-Fannin, founding dean of the Feik School of Pharmacy (FSOP), are pictured above with the winning group of FSOP students traveling to Brazil to compete against PUCPR and Kent State on Nov. 21.

Native American Heritage Month Exhibit
November is Native American Heritage Month. Annual Green Bean Can Drive for the Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner
