Informal Conversation Series with Catholic University Presidents
Acting UIW President Dr. Denise Doyle invites you to the last in a series of informal conversations with presidents of Catholic universities and organizations. They will share their insights and take questions from our community on the role of a president of a Catholic university.The final speaker will be Dr. Michael Galligan-Stierle, who has served as president of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) since 2010.Based in Washington, D.C., the ACCU represents more than 90 percent of the accredited Catholic universities in the U.S. plus another two dozen international universities. Dr. Galligan-Stierle has a doctoral degree in Sacred Scripture fromSt. Mary's Ecumenical Institute. His presentation will start at 4 p.m., Thursday, March 9 in the Seddon Recital Hall. Farhad's Film Series
The Mabee Library presents Howard Zinn';s Emma (2006) from 2 - 4 p.m., Thursday, March 16, in the Mabee Library, Room 221. This filmed stage play dramatizes the life of Emma Goldman, the free-spirited feminist and anti-war activist who rose to fame in the early part of the 20th century. This play brings us face to face with a remarkable woman whose fierce wit, radical insights and political courage continues to speak to injustice and inequality in our own time. Athletic Trainers are board certified experts working to prevent and treat musculoskeletal injuries and sports related illnesses. UIW's athletic trainers offer an unparalleled continuum of care for all our Division I athletes. UIWemploys nineboard certified athletic trainers to be present when injuries occur and provide immediate care. They alsorehabilitateathletes after injuries or surgery and maintain a continuum of care. The Cardinals board certified athletic trainers are led byDirector of Sports Medicine B. J. The 14th Annual Red Dress Health Fair & Fashion Show took place Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the McCombs Center Rosenberg Sky Room. Dr. Trey Guinn, assistant professor and director of graduate programs for communication arts, was the emcee of the event.

William Mulcahy Award for Ecological Stewardship Nominations
The Earth Month Committee is accepting nominations for the 2017 William Mulcahy Award for Ecological Stewardship. Nominations are due by Monday, April 3. The award will be presented at 12 p.m., Thursday, April 20, in an Earth Day observance at the AT&T Circle near the science buildings. UIW Provides Free Tax Filing Services through VITA
UIW is providing free tax prep services to qualifying households through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Operation is Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon, through April 15 in the Joyce Building, Room 126. No appointment is necessary. Returns are prepared on a first come, first served basis.
