Office of Institutional Research DASH Trainings
The Office of Institutional Research has DASH training opportunities at 10 a.m., Friday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 11, in the Mabee Library, Room 230. This session is open to individuals who are interested in accessing DASH. UIW Men and Women's Tennis will host a fan appreciation game Sunday, March 26, at the Mabry Tennis Center. Both teams take on Nicholls State. The women's game begins at 10 a.m., and the men's game begins at 2 p.m. Free hotdogs, chips, water, soft drinks and fruit will be available at 12 p.m. The event is free to attend; free t-shirts will be available while supplies last.

2017 uiw dining presents award to student

UIW Dining is proud to announce UIW student Mallory Draper as one of 15 winners of Sodexo's National Epic Adventure Sweepstakes. 2017 Swing-In Raffle Tickets

William Mulcahy Award for Ecological Stewardship Nominations
The Earth Month Committee is accepting nominations for the 2017 William Mulcahy Award for Ecological Stewardship. Nominations are due by Monday, April 3. The award will be presented at 12 p.m., Thursday, April 20, in an Earth Day observance at the AT&T Circle near the science buildings. UIW Provides Free Tax Filing Services through VITA
UIW is providing free tax prep services to qualifying households through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Operation is Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon, through April 15 in the Joyce Building, Room 126. No appointment is necessary. Returns are prepared on a first come, first served basis. 2017 women's global connection

The Women's Global Connection, a ministry of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, was honored last week to be part of a collaboration of four local empowerment organizations presenting in New York City at the 61st Session of the Commission on the Status of Women. GoFundMe Campaign for Chimbote, Peru
The Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in Peru are struggling in Chimbote because of the worst rain and flooding in 20 years. The Sisters report that all roads in and out of Chimbote are cut off because of widespread flooding and damage to bridges and streets. The town only has intermittent electricity. Communication is compromised with no newspapers being printed. Food and water now are in short supply, with costs for staples tripling in Chimbote because of the problems. Please consider supporting them with your donations through the GoFundMe page and with your prayers

A Walk with John Muir into the Wild of the Headwaters

Retreat leader, author and John Muir enthusiast, Sylvia Maddox, M.T.S., will conduct the walk. The program is limited to 12 people.
