Special message from UIW Acting President Dr. Denise Doyle regarding the presidential search
Our search for the 9thPresident of the University of the Incarnate Word is progressing toward a successful conclusion. The Search Committee, chaired by Bobby Rosenthal, met with three finalists early in May. These return visits allowed the Committee to spend more time with the candidates and to introduce them to a small but expanded group of Faculty and Administrators, Board Members and Members of the Congregation. The selection of the new President is one of the primary responsibilities of the Board of Trustees. Subsequent to the Board's approval of the candidate, the Chair of the Board will make a recommendation to the Congregation for their consideration and ultimate approval.
Shortly, I am anticipating that the Search Committee will recommend their final choice to the Executive Committee of the Board. Then, the Executive Committee will present a candidate for approval by the full Board, after which the Board will seek the approval of the Congregation. We are moving forward on the final steps of the process. Stay tuned!
