UIW Print Anywhere Update

BACKGROUND

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our managed print services request for proposal (RFP) process. After a comprehensive review and evaluation, we have decided to continue our partnership with Xerox, a provider that has consistently met our needs in the past. This decision will streamline the transition process, and minimizing disruptions for anyone printing.

Starting this summer, we will be deploying new Xerox printers in our most heavily utilized areas, ensuring that our team has access to the latest in printing technology and over the next several years will be working to upgrade all printers across UIW. Even with new devices there will be no need to update computers or reinstall software they will fit seamlessly into the print anywhere environment that already exists.

UPDATED FIRST TIME STUDENT ALLOWANCE

To ensure we better meet the needs of our students we will begin increasing the initial complimentary print credit for all students from $1 to $10. This is effective one time for new students at all schools and levels.

UPDATED PRINT CHARGES

To maintain the sustainability and quality of our printing services, a minor adjustment in print costs per page is necessary. This will be the first price update in over seven years, and is essential to ensure that we can continue offering high-quality printing services to our users. Starting August 1st, 2024 the new prices are as follows:

Black and White Double Sided: from $0.04 to $0.05
Black and White Single Sided: from $0.06 to $0.07
Color Double Sided: from $0.20 to $0.24
Color Single Sided: from $0.24 to $0.28

An extensive market review has confirmed that, even with these adjustments, our prices remain highly competitive within the higher education sector and against local commercial providers.
