We have a new supervisor, and we need to set them up in Banner to approve timesheets/Leave how do I do that? Open

Sign into Cardinal Apps
Navigate to the APPS tab and click on “System Access Request”
Follow instructions to navigate to Adobe Sign
Click on Start from Library
Navigate to and Click on Workflows
Click on EA System Authorization Form
Fill in and submit to form
Payroll will be contacted to final approve

UIW has two floating holidays that are part of the official holiday schedule. Staff employees eligible for the floating holidays can now use the earn code FHD – floating holiday on their timesheet through Web-time Entry. Monthly exempt Employees can use FHD on their monthly leave report/timesheet through Banner 9 Employee Services.

Please also use the FHD -floating holiday for the one day used during Spring Break.

Can I update my W4 online? Open

Sign into Cardinal APPS
Click on Banner 9 Employee Services
From Employee Dashboard select “Taxes W-4 Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate”
Select “Update”
Makes changes and select “certify changes”

Can I update my direct deposit online? Open

Yes! Please follow the Direct Deposit Procedure Instructions.

Can I get my W2 online Open

Sign into Cardinal APPS
Click on Banner 9 Employees Services
From Employee Dashboard Select “Taxes W-2 Wage and Tax Statement”
Select “Tax Year” if applicable
Select “Display”
Click on “Printable W-2” if needed

Can I get my 1095C online? Open

Sign into Cardinal APPS
Click on Banner 9 Employees Services
From Employee Dashboard Select “1095-C Employer Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage Statement”
Select “Tax Year” if applicable
Select “Display”
Click on “Printable 1095-C” if needed

The Form 1095-C will only be available online no later than March 3rd. Please note that under the Paperwork Burden Reduction Act and the Employer Reporting Improvement Act, the Form 1095-C will only be available online through B9 Employee Services. A printed version of Form 1095-C will only be provided if specifically requested by emailing HRBenefits@UIWTX.edu. The turnaround time for the printed version will be available thirty days after the date of the request.

How do sick and vacation leaves accrue in the system? Open

When the Payroll runs, the system will always accrue leave first, then deduct any leave taken for that pay period. The accrued leave will not exceed the maximum allowance for leave balances; therefore, if you are at the maximum allowance, you will not accrue any leave time for that pay period. If you are close to the maximum allowance for that pay period, you will only accrue up to the maximum allowance, which may be less than your normal leave accrual. For additional information on vacation leave, please see the Employee Handbook Section 4.9.
