Meet the Director of New Student Programs

Bio Open

Dr. Diana Sanchez was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She spent her high school years studying in Mexico where she learned to speak Spanish. She is a first-generation scholar and is forever grateful to her parents for encouraging her to challenge herself and pursue a college education. Dr. Sanchez and her husband have made UIW their work home for 20 years. They share a son who will soon start his college journey.

Dr. Sanchez enjoys traveling and reading books. She has over 600 books in her personal library. Her favorite genre is historical fiction.
