The Office of New Student Programs is dedicated to promoting the success of new students by enhancing student engagement on campus. We are available to assist students in locating UIW resources that will lead to their academic success. New students learn to understand “you own your education,” which introduces self-responsibility and an awareness of the path to success!
Location: Student Engagement Center 3065
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Take time to relax in between classes and meet with your New Student Peer Mentor! We have snacks, a microwave, coffee, board games and even a little library!
Thank you for attending!
Students had the opportunity to attend our Lunch and Engage events for Spring 2025 and hear from various speakers on important topics.
February: "Ready, Set, Goals!" Cardinals learned about setting SMART goals to be successful in and out of the classroom.
March: "Blooming Your Academic Wellness." Students learned how to develop and maintain healthy study skills.
April: "Course Compass." As registration nears, students learned about prerequisites and corequisites, how to read course numbers and using Degree Works to keep them on track.
