Special Announcement

Until further notice, University Testing Services will operate remotely via email, phone and Zoom (as needed) from Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (CST). CLEP Exam Substitute Announcement

Due to the current circumstances resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, Testing Services is currently not administering face-to-face or online CLEP exams. As a substitute for the CLEP Spanish, French, and German Language Exams, students can take the BYU FLATS exam to earn credit for foreign language course requirements. BYU FLATS exams will be offered in an online proctoring format for our students. Students must obtain approval by the Registrar’s Office prior to registering for the exam. Mission Statement

University Testing Services is committed to delivering supportive, accurate academic testing to students, staff, faculty members, and university departments in a secure and non-distracting environment.

We accomplish our mission by collaborating with faculty, administrators and University academic programs. The principal objective of this shared endeavor is to enhance students’ experience at UIW, promote retention and graduation. 

Introduction

University Testing Services (UTS) provides a full range of University and national tests examination services to UIW main campus students and affiliated high schools.  University Testing Services' main objective is to serve students and faculty with the utmost professionalism and integrity, in accordance with the National College Testing Association’s Professional Standards and Guidelines (NCTA).

Testing services are available to current UIW students and alumni.  All testing schedules are subject to change without notice.

Grievances

University Testing Services encourages any student or faculty who has a complaint about its policies or services to discuss it with Matthew Gonzalez, Coordinator of Testing Services (mgonza17@uiwtx.edu).

Conflicts which cannot be resolved by Testing Services will be referred to Moises Torrescano, Director of Auxiliary Academic Services (moisest@uiwtx.edu210-829-3928; 51 Administration Building).  It is highly recommended that grievances are received in writing.
