The Writing and Learning Center is offering peer tutoring over Zoom, as well as in-person sessions*, for the Fall 2021 term. To schedule, please contact us via phone, email, or Zoom (Virtual Tutoring Center below).
*For in-person sessions, UIW safety measures observed.
Need help after hours? Can’t find a time with us that works? We recommend Smarthinking, an online tutoring service available to all UIW students, 24/7. Smarthinking offers both live and asynchronous writing assistance. You can add Smarthinking to your Cardinal Apps and access it there.
*We are available in the Virtual Tutoring Center during our regular office hours (viewable to the right, or below on mobile).
If none of the above options work for you, please contact Amanda Johnston at email@example.com or (210) 805-5856.
The WLC guides UIW undergraduate students in improving their writing skills so that they will be prepared to succeed in writing-intensive college courses and in their careers.
The WLC will support you at any stage of the writing process. You may drop in during our tutoring hours, and you will be assisted on a first-come, first-served basis. If you prefer to know that a tutor will be ready for you at a designated time, or if you have questions about a particular format or about writing for a specific discipline, we recommend that you set an appointment. We recommend setting appointments for busier times, such as midterms and finals.
