Freshman: Congratulations on Your Acceptance to UIW!

The UAC advisors are excited to officially welcome you to The Nest!  We're a team of passionate advisors who can't wait to meet you, chat about your academic dreams, and co-pilot your perfect class schedule during New Student Orientation.

To ensure your advising session is smooth sailing, we've got a quick and easy pre-flight checklist for you to start on, below.  

Complete these steps at least 1 week before your orientation day:

1. Advising & Scheduling Questionnaire (ASQ): This questionnaire helps us understand your academic goals and interests. Click this link for the Advising & Scheduling Questionnaire (ASQ).
2. Official Transcripts, Dual Credit & Test Scores: Admissions needs these so we can help ensure proper scheduling.  
3. Gather Your Documents: Pack copies of transcripts, test scores, and any dual credit info for your orientation session.
4. Watch Your Cardinal Inbox: Your UAC Advisor will be sending you a welcome email soon!  Click this link to access Cardinal Outlook email.  If you need help accessing your Cardinal email, please call the I.T. Helpdesk at (210) 829-2721.

Transient and Non-Degree Seeking Students: Once you have completed the steps below, please contact the University Advising Center at (210) 805-5814 or advising@uiwtx.edu to schedule an appointment for registration.

Steps To Complete Prior to Appointment

2. Confirm Attendance: Pay Confirmation/Matriculation Fee
3. Submit Proof of Meningitis Vaccination (PDF format) to the Office of the Registrar at registrar@uiwtx.edu
4. Submit Official Transcript(s) to:

2. Select the Banner Web Self-Service app
3. Click the Student Services tab
4. Click on Student Records
5. Click on View Holds

Important Dates:

• Advising Time begins March 18 and runs through April 11, 2024.
• Priority registration begins April 12, 2024.
