Schedule Planner

 Academic Change Request

  • For a smooth transition when changing your major, minor, or concentration, personalized advising and program review is key.  Schedule a consultation with the UAC professional advisor for your new intended program.  They will provide guidance and assist you with the necessary change request form.  Locate your UAC advisor at this link.

Course Repeat Request

  • If you're committed to achieving success in a course you've attempted three times, use this form to request a repeat. Click the Course Repeat Request link and choose "SAML".  Your request will receive careful evaluation and consideration to support your academic progress.  Please note: requests must be made at least three days prior to classes starting. 

School of Professional Studies (SPS) Course Request  

  • To enroll in an SPS course, please follow these steps to ensure proper registration and financial clearance.
  1. Advising & Eligibility: Meet with your Primary Advisor to review course options and prerequisites. Your advisor will ensure the course aligns with the university catalog and your degree plan.
  2. Authorization: Once eligibility is confirmed, complete, sign and obtain your Primary Advisor’s signature on the Registration Form.  
  3. Financial & Departmental Confirmation: Before finalizing, confirm if SPS courses will impact your account, funding and/or aid package. Contact the following offices as they apply to you:

International Students

Must receive clearance from the Office of International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS).

Military-Affiliated

Must coordinate with the Military and Veteran Center (MVC).

Student-Athletes

Must obtain approval from their Athletic Advisor.

4.  Submission: Once your Registration form is completed and signed, submit it to the Registrar’s Office for processing in-person in the Administration Building (AD), Room 129 or by email at registrar@uiwtx.edu

Degree Audit Access - Degree Works

Degree Works (pdf)

  • What Degree Works Is:
    • It's a web-based tool that helps students track their progress toward degree completion.
    • It combines UIW's degree requirements with the student's completed coursework.
    • It presents this information in an easy-to-read audit.
  • What Degree Works Does:
    • It shows students which courses they've completed and which they still need.
    • It helps students and advisors plan future coursework.
    • It assists in confirming graduation requirements.
  • How Students Can Use It:
    • To plan their course selections each semester.
    • To ensure they're on track for graduation.
    • To review their academic progress with their advisor.
  • How to Access It:
    • Through Cardinal Apps, using their UIW username and password. (See pdf link, above.)
  • Important Distinctions:
    • Degree Works is an unofficial tool; it's not an official transcript.
    • Degree works is a tool to help plan, and track degree progress. Registration for classes is done through the normal registration process.

 

 UIW Internal Transfer Request

 Internal Transfer Request:  Use this form to request an internal transfer to or from the School of Professional Studies.

 

UAC Office Hours

Monday - Friday | 8 a.m. -  5 p.m.

The first Friday of every month, the UAC will close from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. for professional development.
