All new freshmen and transfer students for are highly encouraged to attend a New Student orientation hosted by the Office of Admissions. Sign up here for an orientation date.

First-Time Freshmen: You will discuss your first set of spring 2023 classes by your advisor. Be sure to pay your confirmation fee and submit your valid proof of meningitis vaccination before meeting with your advisor.

Transfer Students: Contact our office to schedule an appointment for advising and registration prior to your orientation at (210) 805-5814 or advising@uiwtx.edu.

Transient and Non-Degree Seeking students are not required to attend New Student orientation. Contact our office to schedule an appointment for advising and registration at (210) 805-5814 or advising@uiwtx.edu.

Steps to Complete Prior to Appointment

1. Apply/Reapply to UIW
2. Pay your confirmation (matriculation) fee
3. Submit Meningitis vaccination record in PDF form to the Office of Admissions at admissiondocs@uiwtx.edu.
4. Submit your official transcript(s) to the Document Receiving Office
