Health Insurance

Students enrolled full-time* will automatically be enrolled in the student health insurance plan, provided by Wellfleet. The insurance premium will be charged on the student's fall and spring bill. International students (with any visa type) are required to maintain the student health insurance plan and are automatically billed when enrolled in 1+ hours. Domestic students (U.S. citizens and Legal Permanent Residents) have the option to waive the annual premium by demonstrating comparable health insurance coverage compliant with the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The waiver must be submitted online by the posted deadline, no exceptions.

*Full-time students (Undergraduate 12+ hours, Graduate in extended terms 6+ hours, Professional Programs, and Doctoral 6+ hours) are defined as main campus students enrolled in the traditional 16-week semester.

Students who fail to submit an insurance waiver by the posted deadline, will be responsible for the full premium.
