How to Apply

We accept applications on a rolling basis. However, all room assignments are made according to our availability at that time.

Applying for housing overview

* If you apply after June 15, you will be unable to complete the application in-full and are not guaranteed housing. Our office will begin manual assignments according to student room preferences and availability

Students requesting housing accommodations must communicate with Student Disability Services (SDS), where approval will be directed from them to our office.

Deadlines for Accommodation Requests

• March 1 if you are a returning student for fall semester
• June 1 if you are an incoming student for fall semester
• September 1 if you are incoming student for spring semester
• Deadline to request modifications to meal plan due to food allergy is no later than the last day to drop classes at 100% refund (as posted on the academic calendar)

If you are receiving a deposit error message:

• Confirm that you have paid your deposit
• Have waited at least 24 hours for it to process on your account
• Ensure you selected "deposit acknowledgement" box at the end "discussing deposit procedure"

If you do not meet eligibility requirements:

• Review & settle any holds on your student account
• Email our team if you are not enrolled at full-time status but working with advisors
• Housing is assigned to students outside our priority age group (under 25yr & undergraduate) after August 01

Students recently accepted to the university should complete their admission profile:

• Confirm your attendance via $200 matriculation fee (if applicable)
  • You will receive an email with your login credentials within 2-3 business days
• Submit your meningitis record to registrar@uiwtx.edu

To avoid any disruptions in your application process, we ask that you submit the deposit first.

• Scholarships and financial aid do not cover this fee
• You will receive a confirmation email with your receipt
• Please allow 24-hr for the deposit to show on your account

2. Find Cashnet > Make a Payment
3. Add to Shopping Cart
4. Process Payment

Deposit Return Schedule:

• 100% - Before May 31
• 50% -- Between June 01 & June 30
• 0% ---- After July 01

The housing application is a contract for the entire academic year. If you encounter an issue with the application, please review that the steps above have been completed in it's entirety.

3. Find Application Module
4. Select the term you want to apply for
5. Begin the Application
   
   • Students Under 18 Must Complete a Minor Housing Contract
6. Automatic Pause -- Await Timeslot
   • You will be emailed a time in which you can select your room
7. Select Your Room (if applicable)
8. Submit Final Application

* If you apply after June 15, you will be stopped at stage six and your status shows as "incomplete". This is because our office will begin manual assignments according to student room preferences and availability.

Timeslot Schedule:

• Fall - You will self-select between December & June 15
• Spring - Room placement is based on availability

• Fall - You will self-select between April & June 15
• Spring - Room placement is based on availability

Students currently living on-campus must be registered for courses. Holds & underregistration may delay eligibility. Please contact our Assistant Director if you foresee complications in meeting requirements to maintain housing by the deadlines for potential extensions.

   • You will be emailed a time in which you can participate in Room Reservation

Room Reservation is the process to reserve a room for the next academic year

Room Reservation Overview

• Room Renewal -- Opportunity to reserve the same room (if applicable).
• Room Selection -- Opportunity to reserve a different room .

** If you choose not to renew, you run the risk of NOT getting the room you want.
