The Department of Residence Life and Housing Operations is preparing for your arrival to campus! For first time students moving away from home, Move-In Day can be filled with excitement at meeting your roommate, decorating your room, and exploring all that our beautiful campus has to offer. For our upperclassmen, Move-In Day often feels like returning home. We will maintain all important and necessary Move-In Day information on this portion of our website. Think of this as your one-stop shop to prepare for that exciting day! Please review our upcoming move in day information for Fall 2022!

Fall Move-In Information

We cannot wait to have you arrive to campus for the 2022-2023 year. The following information will help prepare you for a quick and easy check in.

  • Sign Up: Residents are requested to sign up for a general check in time (Date and Time of Day). All required items on step 2 of "Our Process" must be completed prior to your check-in time. Please check your university email for your official sign up!
    • First Time In College Move In
      • Thursday, August 18, 2022 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
      • Saturday, August 20, 2022 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
      • Sunday, August 21, 2022 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
    • Upper-level Move in
      • Friday, August 19, 2022 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
      • Saturday, August 20, 2022 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
      • Sunday, August 21, 2022 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
    • Please contact our office at (210) 829-6034 or housing@uiwtx.edu if you have any questions regarding signing up for a check-in time.
  • Location: All check ins will occur in the Student Engagement Center on the Mezzanine level. Once you have arrived at our check in location, you will proceed to the Ballroom to complete your check in!

Our Process

  1. Please continue to monitor your Cardinal Email for important changes and updates concerning any Health and Safety Policies at the university.
  2. Please note that all Residence Life paperwork must be completed prior to checking in. This paperwork includes:

  4. Bring your UIW Student ID and proceed to the M level!
