Student Advocacy
The Office of Student Advocacy and Accountability is committed to supporting the education and development of all UIW students throughout their time as a student. The following resources are available to all students who may be in need of support or assistance at any time.
Advocacy Programs and Resources
CARE Team
The UIW Campus Assessment, Response and Evaluation (CARE) Team is a team of UIW employees dedicated to a proactive, coordinated, and planned approach to addressing concerns to the safety and well-being of The University of the Incarnate Word students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
The Safe Harbor Program
The Safe Harbor Program was created to aid students who have engaged in prohibited/banned drug or alcohol use. Students are encouraged to seek assistance through this program by voluntarily disclosing use prior to any report of an alcohol or drug violation.
Community Resources
As part of our mission to educate students, sometimes our office will refer students to other offices better suited to address specific needs. The Office of Student Advocacy and Accountability collaborates with other departments and organizations on- and off-campus to get students connected to appropriate resources.
