UIW is committed to fair and equitable pay practices that attract and retain a highly qualified and diverse workforce needed to fulfill the Mission and strategic goals of the institution. UIW’s partnership with Segal Consulting to complete this project will allow us to establish salary structures, pay guidelines, and gain insight into recommended updates to keep our university moving forward.

Our goal is to keep our community informed every step of the way. Project Scope

Our work will lead to the development of a revised job structure and identification of career ladders as well as a competitive market assessment.

UIW's Compensation program is guided by three primary principles:

  • Internal Equity- Promotes retention, motivation, and a sense of fairness.
  • External Competitiveness- The appropriate comparative market is one that includes comparable higher education institutions, and when needed, relative industry and originally specific market data.
  • University's Financial Means- Compensation administration will fall within the operational and financial means of the University with a goal of creating and excellent workforce by attracting, retaining, and developing employees that are committed to work in service to students.
