Club Sports

UIW Club Sports Logo


UIW Club Sports is an organized sport for the purpose of furthering common interests in competition with other universities and colleges. UIW Club Sport participation is voluntary and based on a participation fee.  UIW Club Sports Athletes cannot receive athletic scholarships.

Club Sports at UIW are designed to serve students in a variety of sports including: Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Co-ed Powerlifting, Men's Lacrosse, Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Men's Volleyball, Women's Volleyball, Co-ed Trap and Skeet, Co-ed Triathlon, and eSports. Sporting interests can be competitive, recreational, or instructional in nature, as clubs may represent the University in intercollegiate competition or conduct intra-club activities such as practice, instruction, social, tournament and league play.  Athletes and teams represent UIW on a local, regional, and national competitions.  UIW Club Sports is designed to provide students at the undergraduate, master, and PhD level an opportunity to continue their athletic career at the collegiate level.  Club Sport Athletes do not and cannot compete in NCAA Sports in the same academic semester.  Participation in some Club Sports count towards NCAA years of eligibility.

COVID Testing Policy for UIW Club Sports Athletes and Coaches

Notice to All UIW Club Sport Athletes and Coaches:
UIW Club Sports will implement the following COVID Testing Policy in accordance with the UIW policy for COVID Testing. The policy will take effect on January 10, 2022:
  1. UIW Club Sports Athletes and Coaches may voluntarily submit their proof of vaccination via the Cardinal Apps portal and selecting the Med+Proctor app.
  2. UIW Club Sport Athletes and Coaches who do not voluntarily submit proof of vaccination will be required to provide evidence of COVID Testing each week.  UIW Club Sports will implement the following guidelines for all athletes and coaches that have not to voluntarily submitted proof of vaccination: 
    1. COVID Testing must be completed on Monday or Tuesday, each week of the semester.
    2. UIW Club Sport Athletes and Coaches can register for testing through the UIW Curative kiosk located at Founders Hall (4119 Broadway) across from the Broadway campus by clicking on the link below. You must use your UIW email when registering for testing. Schedule an Appointment at Broadway Campus - Founders Hall Location
    3. Verification of completed test (not official test results) for Broadway and off-campus locations must be submitted each week by Wednesday 8 am to email address:
    4. UIW Club Sport Coaches will be provided a Roster of Cleared Athletes every Wednesday by noon.
    5. UIW Club Sport Coaches and Teams will only be allowed to practice or compete with athletes that appear on the Roster of Cleared Athletes.
      1. It is the responsibility of the UIW Club Sports Coach to monitor team participation based on the Roster of Cleared Athletes.
    6. UIW Club Sport Athletes and Coaches that are unable to complete the requirement will be suspended from participation in UIW Club Sports.  
    7. Athletes may resume participation in UIW Club Sports only if they appear on the Roster of Cleared Athletes.
      1. This includes practices and competitions (home and away).

Policy subject to change based on the circumstances and status of the UIW Community. UIW Club Sport Athletes and Coaches are responsible for checking their personal UIW emails and the UIW Website for current guidelines and policies.
