Benefits Open Enrollment - April 15 - April 30, 2025
During open enrollment, employees are permitted to make changes to their current medical, dental, and vision insurance to include adding, dropping, or switching between plans. Employees will also be able to add supplemental insurance to their coverage.
What is Staying the Same:
- UIW will maintain the current medical, dental, and vision benefits.
- UIW Bronze Medical Plan and Dental premiums will remain the same.
- Medical subsidies will continue for those earning below $48,000.
- MetLife will continue as our vendor for Vision coverage, and premiums will remain the same.
- Proficient Benefit Solutions will continue to administer Flex Spending Accounts.
- Grandfather status will continue under the ACA.
- Mutual of Omaha will continue to be our life insurance and AD&D carrier.
- Personify Health will remain our TPA (Third Party Administrator).
- RxBenefits will continue to be the pharmacy benefit manager (PBM).
What is Changing:
- New medical ID cards will arrive in the mail around June 1, 2025.
- Flexible Spending IRS limits increased to $3,300 from $3,200.
- Increase to UIW Silver Medical Plan premium.
- MetLife will replace Aflac for accident, short-term disability, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverage. Employees currently enrolled in Aflac short-term disability who choose to switch to MetLife's short-term coverage will have the pre-existing condition clause waived.
- Benefits Navigator will replace Banner Self-Service enrollment. Although employees will be able to see current coverage information in Benefits Navigator, open enrollment is the time to make sure you select the coverage you need and want for you and your dependents.

You must enroll or waive benefits during Benefits Open Enrollment, April 15 – April 30, 2025. Elections will not automatically roll over from last year.
