CARE Team
The UIW Campus Assessment, Response and Evaluation (CARE) Team is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to a proactive, coordinated, and planned approach to the identification, prevention, assessment, management, and reduction of interpersonal and behavioral threats to the safety and well-being of The University of the Incarnate Word students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
UIW Police
The UIW Police Department is a multi-service organization. The essence of the Police Mission is to provide effective support, public assistance at every opportunity and a safe environment through safety awareness and law enforcement.
UIW Office of Financial Assistance
The Office of Financial Assistance is available Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. by telephone, email, in person, or via teleconference. Our advisors are dedicated to assisting you with the financial aid process, including supporting our students in overcoming temporary financial hardships.
Cardinals Cupboard
The Cardinals' Cupboard Food Pantry is here to support our campus and local community. The Pantry is open to UIW students, faculty, staff and community members to access non-perishable foods, basic hygiene products and other basic needs.
San Antonio Rape Crisis Center
The San Antonio Rape Crisis Center provides support for survivors and works to educate the community to eliminate sexual violence. The Center offers a comprehensive range of services, including intervention, prevention, advocacy, and wraparound resources.

Family Violence Prevention Services
The Family Violence Prevention Services, Inc.’s mission is to break the cycle of family violence and empower families by offering essential tools for self-sufficiency. This is achieved through the provision of emergency shelter, transitional housing, education, effective parenting programs, and early intervention for adults, children, youth, and the elderly.

Victim Connect Resource Center
The VictimConnect Resource Center (VCRC) is a weekday phone, chat, and text-based referral helpline operated by the National Center for Victims of Crime. Services are available for all victims of crime in the United States and its territories. Visitors to the hotline crime victims can learn about their rights and options confidentially and compassionately and receive strength-based and trauma-informed services and referrals in over 200 languages.
