UIW International Visiting Groups host visitors on tourist visas or ESTA visa waivers for short-term workshops and cultural programs to include professional development programs, summer camps, career boot camps, sports camps, and much more.
UIW Cultural and Experiential Learning Program
This program combines workshop projects, cultural interactions, trips, and visits to tourist sites that make it an unparalleled experience. This 3-week program will allow visitors to improve their level of English through immersion in U.S. daily life, experience a university setting at UIW and visit local attractions in San Antonio, Texas. In this way, the visitor can transfer all the knowledge acquired in the program to everyday situations, while exploring the culture and student life in the United States.

Visitor Visa Process
This program introduces international visitors to San Antonio, Texas, American culture, and is geared to expose participants with visits to local museums, businesses, and other major tourist attractions. Based on the purposes of the program, participants are to apply for the issuance of the B-2 Tourist Visa at the nearest U.S. Embassy.
The program is not affiliated to a degree or non-degree program and visitors will not participate in classroom instruction or lectures at UIW. As there would be no classroom experience, an I-20 or DS-2019 would not be issued to participate in this program.
Housing, Program Dates, and Funding
Since the program is held on the premises of UIW, participants will stay in UIW residence halls at 847 E. Hildebrand, San Antonio, Texas 78212. Dates and costs are customized to the program's needs and duration.
Please keep in mind that each participant is responsible for funding personal expenses; which may include transportation and amenities throughout their stay.
