Navigate is a web-based student performance monitoring system that provides automated student services and communication between faculty, academic advisors, student support staff, and students. The program allows for monitoring of class attendance.
Navigate Early Alert pinpoints at-risk students early in the term to allow for intervention when students need it most. UIW heavily utilizes this system in our 1000 and 2000 courses when students are still developing. From time to time, external challenges may require face-to-face instruction to be moved online. In many cases, it will be wise to use scheduled class time for doing things like presenting lectures through Zoom or Teams and sharing content through the resources available to you. UIW possesses multiple technological and human resources to ensure that both synchronous and asynchronous instruction can continue without issue in a virtual environment.

Effective Sep 1, 2022, if approved for remote work all users are subject to the Telework and Alternative Work Schedule Policy. Employees working remotely must coordinate in advance with their supervisor and department director to ensure full compliance with applicable university policy and intent.
