Disability Services

We provide disability services for both our students and their guests who attend the commencement ceremonies when we are apprised early enough to provide such accommodation. Letting us know your needs early allows us to provide you with the best possible service. We need to know your special needs at least one week before the scheduled commencement ceremony. Please complete the appropriate form on the ADA website to let us know how we can help you.

For Guests with Mobility Impairment

Guests with mobility impairment must have a ticket to enter the building and will have a designated seating area for their use. The commencement venue has ample handicapped accessible seating areas, therefore, submitting an event accommodation form for handicapped accessible seating is not necessary. Designated ushers will be on staff to assist handicapped guests to the designated seating area. One attendant per disabled guest will be allowed in this seating area.

For Students with Physical Limitations

If you fear that you are not able to participate in the ceremonies because of physical limitations, we will make every effort to assist you so that you do not miss any of the activities. We ask that you remain in close contact with the Registrar's Office and the Student Disability Office so that we may assist you.
