Enrollment and Degree Verification

The official Verifications of Enrollment will not be available until after the official census date of the semester. (Approximately the 3rd week of the semester)

Steps to Obtain Verification of Enrollment for Current Students

  • Log in to your Cardinal Apps
  • Click on "BannerWeb Self Service" link under the "Cardinal Apps - Banner" tab
  • Select "Student Records" under Student Services tab and click on "Enrollment Verification"
  • Click on "Current Enrollment" or "All Enrollment"
  • Click on "Obtain Enrollment Certificate"
  • An official and printable enrollment verification will open for you to print or save as a .pdf.

Former Students

Previous enrollment verifications via the National Student Clearinghouse.

The University of the Incarnate Word has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse at degreeverify.org to provide provides dates of attendance and earned degrees to employers and background screening firms. Verifications can be obtained through the National Student Clearinghouse for our current and former students. The National Student Clearinghouse follows all federal privacy laws.

All verification requests presented to the Registrar's Office are forwarded to the National Student Clearinghouse for processing. No verification will be released if there are outstanding obligations to the University.

Degree Verification

Alumni, former student attendance and degree verifications may be requested via the National Student Clearinghouse.

International Students

Current students and alumni who do not have a U.S. social security number on file with UIW Registrar's Office cannot use Cardinal Apps or Clearinghouse options above. If you obtained a U.S. social security number after matriculation you may bring it to the Registrar's Office to update your records. Otherwise, requests for enrollment or degree verification can be made in person during normal business hours.

Privacy Option

In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), only directory information may be released to third parties. Enrollment status, dates of attendance and degree information are directory information.

If you do not wish information about your enrollment status and degrees released to third parties, please visit our Privacy Act Information page for further information on how to restrict the release of directory information. A privacy option will be set while attending UIW and will remain on your record even after you stop attending or graduate. Information may be found as well to remove the FERPA hold so that a third party can receive enrollment/degree information.
